Introduction to conveyor belts

A conveyor belt is a machine that moves materials or products in a continuous stream. It is usually used to transport raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products in a manufacturing plant. A conveyor belt can also be used to move materials through a process, such as in the manufacturing of paper or plastic film.

These are 3 key parts of a conveyor belt:

The frame that holds the material being transported and which supports the rollers and other moving parts.

The rollers, which are mounted on the frame at intervals so they can grip the material being transported and act as a support for the conveyor belt

A drive roller/pulley at both end of the belt to run the conveyor line and operate with either pushing or pulling method.

There is an endless number of types and uses for conveyor belts. All of the varieties serve the purpose of transporting materials and goods along a continuously moving path. Though motorized conveyor belts are the traditional form of a conveying system.
